Oldest Professional Basketball Star Player – Moshsen Khalaf

Abdulmohsen Khalaf Al-Muwallad (aka) Mohsen Al-Muwallad (aka) Mohsen Khalaf was officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the ‘ oldest professional basketball player’.

Mohsen Khalaf was selected to play for the Saudi National Team in 1986 at the age of 20 and retired from the international games in 2005.

He played his first game for Ohod Club, Madinah in 1979. Played his final pro game on May 22nd, 2015 at 51 years, 335 days after spending 36 years with the Madinah based team.

74- Year Old Grandfather Ezzeldin Bahader Becomes Worlds Oldest Footballer : October 2020

74-year old Egyptian Ezzeldin Bahader was honoured by Guinness World Records as the oldest active professional football player in the world.

Ezzeldin played for a local team on October 06th, 2020 against El Ayat Sports Club in the Egyptian third tier league.

The septuagenarian was required to feature in 2 professional matches to clinch the honour.

He surpassed the 73-year old Israeli player Issak Hayik off the top spot.

Emirati Club Al-Nasr – First Arab Club to sign Diaa Sabia an Israeli Footballer : September 2020

Dubai’s Al-Nasr Club has signed Diaa Sabia an Israeli-Arab attacking midfielder on as 2-year contract.

Sabia who is of Palestinian origin was born in northern Israel and moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2012.

He played for the Maccabi Netanya Club for 4 years and has 10 caps in the Israeli National Team.

Sabia was subsequently sold to China’s Guangzhou R&F club and now has moved to Dubai’s Al-Nasr Club.

Al-Nasr’s move came 2 weeks after the UAE normalised ties with Israel.
