Lucid Air (EV) was launched from its Headquarters based in Newark, California on September 10th, 2020

Lucid Air has ground breaking electric vehicle (EV) technology incorporation Lucid Motors’s proprietary Electric Drivetrain Technology.

Aimed at the luxury saloon segment dominated by German manufacturers. Branded as the world’s fastest charging EV and the most aerodynamic car in the world.

Lucid’s Atieva battery powers the Formula E vehicles that have been showcased at Saudi Arabian motorsports events.

Powering the Air is a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup with a combined output of up to 1,080 horsepower. The motor is fed charge through a 22 module, 5kWh battery pack with a total combined capacity of 113kWh

Lucid Motors is backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Invest Fund who hold a majority stake.

UAE ‘s First Mars Mission Interplanetary Spacecraft Makes History . First Arab Nation Reaching for the Stars : July 2020

UAE’s ‘Hope or Emirates Mars Mission’ was launched heading for Mars.

A rocket carrying a Mars Hope Explorer developed at Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai took off. The historical event also marked the 50th anniversary of the Founding of the UAE.

It is expected to travel 493.5 million kilometres over 9 months to reach orbit around Mars in 2021. It will stay 20,000 to 40,000 Km above Mars and orbit the planet every 55 hours.

The H2A rocket carrying the Hope Explorer lifted off from Tanogashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Successfully launched by Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.

Dubai Police Women Officers pull a Boeing Plane. Set a new World Record : UAE, November 2018

Heaviest aircraft pulled over 100 m by a team (female).

A team of 77 female officers of Dubai police established a world record by pulling a Boeing 777-300ER weighing 168.801 tonnes (168,801 kg/372,142 lb) over 100 meters distance.

Dubai Police entered the Guinness Book of World Records thanks to the feat of 77 of its officers, exclusively females, who dragged an Emirates plane .

A feat for a great cause

The aircraft, a Boeing 777 of 74 meter-long and 240 tons, was pulled with one rope attached to its undercarriage. The exploit was part of Dubai Fitness Challenge, a wonder event that aims to encourage residents to exercise more.

Largest Metal Buried Bridge Span – The Shamal Bridge, Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) : March 2017

The Shamal Bridge is the largest metal buried bridge span and was achieved by the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, United Arab Emirates .

The bridge span measures 32.39 m (106.3ft) has a capacity of 2,000 vehicles per hour. The record is certified by Guinness World Records.

The project was undertaken by ViaCon Sp. zoo (Poland) as a part of the Ras Al Khaimah ring road – The Shamal Bridge

World’s Largest and Biggest Camel Racing Festival – Saudi Arabia : September 2019

13,377 camels participated in the largest camel racing tournament in the world. Certificate issued by Guinness World Records.

The event was organised by the Saudi Camel Racing Federation and was held on September 13th, 2019 at Taif, Saudi Arabia.

Mars One – Mohammed Sallam Only Arab Selected for Round III Mars One Project

Mohammed Sallam from Egypt is the only Arab candidate selected for Round III of the Dutch Mars One Project.

He hopes it will pave the path for future Arab astronauts in outer space. Sallam is one of the 100 candidates selected to have entered Round III for Mars One, down form 202,000 initial applicants.

Next year 24 finalists will be selected and trained for the 2031 mission to Mars which aims to establish the first human settlement/colony on the red planet.

World’s 3rd Longest Driverless Metro Network : Dubai Metro, UAE

In 2009, when it opened Dubai Metro topped the list as the ‘Worlds Longest Automated Rail System’

Presently, it’s moved down after Vancouver’s Sky Train and Singapore.

The longest driverless metroline is the Dubai Metro Red Line which is 52.1 km in length. The second line, Green Line is 22.5 km which when combined with the Red Line will make it longer than the Vancouver Sky Train.

Dubai Metro is owned by Roads an Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai.

Shamal Steel Arch Bridge, Ras Al Khaimah – World’s Longest Steel Bridge : March 2019

Shamal Steel Arch Bridge , Ras Al Khaimah, UAE is now the World’s longest steel bridge , certified by Guinness World Records.

It is planned to handle 2,000 vehicles per hour and includes a life expectancy of 104 years without any maintenance.

The bridge is a part of the second phase of Emirates Road as envisaged by the Ministry of Infrastructure, UAE

The former record was held by Poland’s 26m long bridge
