UAE’s ‘Hope or Emirates Mars Mission’ was launched heading for Mars.

A rocket carrying a Mars Hope Explorer developed at Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai took off. The historical event also marked the 50th anniversary of the Founding of the UAE.

It is expected to travel 493.5 million kilometres over 9 months to reach orbit around Mars in 2021. It will stay 20,000 to 40,000 Km above Mars and orbit the planet every 55 hours.

The H2A rocket carrying the Hope Explorer lifted off from Tanogashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Successfully launched by Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.

Historic First Flight from Israel to UAE, lands in Abu Dhabi : August 2020

A U.S-Israeli official delegation led by Jared Kushner, Senior Adviser to US President Donald Trump, arrived at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi on August 31st, 2020.

The first Israeli commercial plane on which the word ‘peace’ was printed in Arabic, English and Hebrew above its cockpit window landed in UAE.

The flight was numbered after UAE’s International dialing code and the return flight set to leave Abu Dhabi is El Al 972 which is Israel’s dialing code.

World Record Winner of ‘Marathon des Sables’ – Lahcen Ahansal

Lahcen Ahansal . Athlete. Long distance runner.

He has the world record for most wins by an individual – 10 wins. The first in 1997 and then 9 of them consequtively 1999 upto 2007

Marathon des Sables is considered to be the toughest running race in the world. It is a six-day ultradistance event that covers 254 km across the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

Lahcen Ahansal is also an organiser to trekking in Southern Morocco and the ‘Zagora Marathon’.

Largest Metal Buried Bridge Span – The Shamal Bridge, Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) : March 2017

The Shamal Bridge is the largest metal buried bridge span and was achieved by the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, United Arab Emirates .

The bridge span measures 32.39 m (106.3ft) has a capacity of 2,000 vehicles per hour. The record is certified by Guinness World Records.

Highway 10 is the longest dead straight road on earth, covering 140 miles (240Km) in one stretch according to Guinness.

It links Haradh (Highway 75) to Al Batha and is a total desert land.
